Danfoss / Eaton Gear Pump

Description & Features

Designed for demanding fixed-displacement applications, the Danfoss / Eaton Gear Pump is a field-reversible external gear pump built for reliable performance across a broad range of industrial and mobile sectors. Reduced noise and vibration characteristics make it well-suited to environments where operational refinement is a priority alongside output consistency.

Volumetric and mechanical efficiency are both addressed in the design, supported by an input drive lubrication orifice in the frontplate, a practical detail that contributes to long-term durability. A minimum working temperature rating of -20°C supports deployment in cold-climate conditions. Typical application areas include agricultural equipment, civil engineering machinery, material handling systems, metal forming, primary metals processing, specialty construction, and natural resources industries.

Question by: Pete B on Nov 14, 2025, 1:17 PM
Wondering if this thing can handle cold weather, I'm up in Minnesota.
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 15, 2025, 6:22 PM
This Danfoss/Eaton gear pump is rated for a minimum working temperature of -20°C, so it should hold up just fine in colder climates.
Question by: Dustin H on Mar 11, 2026, 9:20 AM
pump says it's field reversible - does that mean I can swap rotation direction myself without sending it out somewhere?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 13, 2026, 6:36 AM
field reversible means you can change the rotation direction on-site without shipping it off for rework. That's a real time-saver when you're swapping it into a circuit that runs the opposite direction from what the previous pump did. No need for a shop to touch it.
