Built to meet MIL-H-3992B Type 1 Class 1 military specifications, the Aeroquip Hose MIL Item MIL-DTL-3992 TYI is a conductive, two-ply polyester-braid hose engineered for demanding air brake applications, including tractor-to-trailer lines, axle chamber lines, and tractor service lines. The synthetic rubber inner tube is covered in chloroprene rubber, providing reliable resistance to the harsh environmental conditions common in heavy transport and military service.
At dash size -6 with a product width of 0.78 inches and a minimum bend radius of 3.75 inches, this hose is suited for routing in confined installations. Rated for use down to -65°F minimum working temperature, it maintains flexibility across a broad temperature range. The ink jet lay line aids identification during installation and inspection. Black chloroprene cover and conductive construction round out a design focused on safety and consistent performance under tough service conditions.

Product Questions & Answers (1)
Question by: Daryl G on Oct 5, 2025, 9:54 PM
Hey, will this hose hold up okay if it's dragging on the ground some? Just wondering how tough that outer layer is.
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 7, 2025, 9:20 AM
The chloroprene rubber cover offers standard abrasion resistance, which should provide decent protection in ground contact situations, but avoiding constant dragging will extend its life.
