Question by: Scott C on May 5, 2025, 6:03 PM
what's the cover made of on this power steering hose, and will it hold up to rubbing against brackets and other stuff under the hood?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 7, 2025, 6:57 AM
Chloroprene rubber is the cover material, and it's built with abrasion resistance as a real priority. Under-hood routing often means contact with brackets, clamps, and other lines, so that perforated chloroprene cover is meant to take that kind of wear without breaking down quickly. The 2-ply polyester braid reinforcement underneath adds to the overall durability, so it's not just the outer layer doing the work.

got a power steering setup that takes a -6 hose, is this one actually a -6 and meant for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 3, 2025, 10:39 AM
For automotive power steering, this hose is a Dash Size -6 and it is labeled as a power steering hose, so it matches that size and application.
