WHEN 0 USE AEROQUIP

Description & Features

Constructed with a synthetic rubber tube and two-ply polyester braid reinforcement, this dash -16 hose is designed for demanding hydraulic and fluid transfer applications including gasoline, crude fuel, lubricating oils, air, and water. The chloroprene rubber cover delivers reliable protection under harsh operating conditions, with a minimum bend radius of 8 inches and a rated operating temperature range starting at -40°F.

The Aeroquip 2583-16 meets SAE 100R3 and EN854 Type R3 certifications and carries MSHA approval, making it well-suited for mining and heavy industrial environments. Conductive construction supports static-dissipative requirements, and the hose is compatible with Crimp OTC qualified fittings. An inkjet lay line aids identification and installation alignment. The system-engineered design is intended to extend hose assembly service life across high-pressure fluid conveyance applications.

hose is rated for gasoline and crude fuel both? just want to make sure before i order
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 17, 2026, 7:35 AM
both are listed applications for this hose. It's built to handle gasoline, crude fuel, lubricating oils, air, and water. The synthetic rubber tube and chloroprene cover hold up well against those fluids, so you're in good shape for either use.

got a -16 hose on a fuel and oil setup, is this 2583 series meant for that kind of service?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 27, 2025, 6:55 PM
For fluid use, it fits gasoline, crude fuel, and lubricating oils, and it is also listed for air and water. The tube is synthetic rubber with a chloroprene rubber cover, and it is a 2 ply braided hose.
