does this plug work with a 1 inch BSPP port, or do i need an adapter for that

Straight fit, no adapter needed. The coupling end is a 1-inch BSPP female port, so it threads directly into a matching BSPP connection. The push-to-connect side handles the quick disconnect function on the other end, and the sleeve lock keeps everything secured once it's mated up.
