Danfoss / Eaton Cessna Gear Pump

Description & Features

Designed for fixed-displacement external gear applications, the Danfoss / Eaton Cessna Gear Pump is a reliable choice across a broad range of mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits. Field-reversible pump direction adds installation flexibility, while reduced noise and vibration make it well-suited for operator-sensitive environments.

Improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency contribute to consistent performance in demanding duty cycles. Rated for operation down to -20°C, this pump is appropriate for use in tractors and harvesters, machine tools, steering circuits, lift trucks, fan drive systems, compactors, sweepers, rotary and reel mowers, and auxiliary work circuits.

Manufactured under the Eaton Char-Lynn brand, now part of Danfoss Power Solutions, this unit meets the application requirements of both original equipment and replacement installations in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems.

got a little tractor with a loader, would this gear pump make sense for the hydraulics on it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 28, 2026, 3:57 PM
For tractor and harvester hydraulics, it’s a common fit type. The applications listed for this Series 26 external gear pump include tractors and harvesters, plus auxiliary work circuits, so it lines up well with loader and implement style hydraulic circuits.
Question by: Sherry W on Aug 31, 2025, 5:46 PM
pump direction on this thing reversible in the field, or do I gotta pull it apart to change it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 2, 2025, 3:06 PM
Field reversible rotation is built into this pump's design, so you can change the direction without tearing into it. That's a real time-saver when you're dealing with a setup that needs to be reconfigured on the equipment side rather than ordering a different unit.
