Will this gear pump work okay on my tractor for the hydraulics?

This Series 26 gear pump is definitely suitable for tractors and harvesters, especially for auxiliary work circuits. It's also used in lift trucks if that gives you a better idea of its capabilities.

pump says field reversible direction, does that mean I can swap rotation without pulling it apart or sending it somewhere?

You can reverse the rotation direction right in the field without sending it out for rebuild or modification. That's a built-in feature on this Series 26, which makes it handy when you're setting up a circuit that needs the pump oriented a certain way or when you're swapping it into a machine that runs the opposite direction from what you had before.
