Got a Series 26 gear pump on a lift truck that's been rattling something awful. Would swapping in this unit help with that noise issue, or is that just the nature of gear pumps?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 11, 2025, 3:25 PM
Gear pumps do tend to run louder than other pump types, but the Series 26 was built specifically to cut down on that. Reduced noise and vibration is one of the core engineering focuses on this unit, so if your current pump is rattling more than it should, this would be a solid upgrade. It won't be whisper-quiet, but the difference in smoothness is noticeable in real-world use on exactly the kind of application you're describing.
