Danfoss / Eaton Cessna Gear Pump

Description & Features

Designed for use across a wide range of mobile and industrial equipment, this Danfoss / Eaton Cessna Gear Pump is a fixed displacement external gear pump built to handle demanding hydraulic circuits. It is well suited for steering circuits, fan drive systems, auxiliary work circuits, lift trucks, compactors, sweepers, rotary and reel mowers, machine tools, and agricultural equipment including tractors and harvesters.

Engineered under the Eaton Char-Lynn brand, now part of Danfoss Power Solutions, the Series 26 pump delivers reduced noise and vibration alongside improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency. A field-reversible pump direction adds installation flexibility, making it adaptable to varied circuit configurations without requiring a different unit. Rated for a minimum working temperature of -20°C, it is built to perform reliably in cold-environment applications.

Question by: Cheryl H on Jul 27, 2025, 1:45 PM
pump says it's field reversible, how hard is that to actually do out in the shop?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 29, 2025, 7:20 AM
Rotation direction on the Series 26 can be switched without pulling the whole unit apart. It's built into the design specifically so technicians can make that change in the field rather than ordering a separate pump for the opposite rotation. For equipment like sweepers or mowers where hydraulic connections configurations vary, that kind of flexibility saves real time and money.

got a tractor with a gear pump on it now. is this one meant for tractors and harvesters or more like shop equipment
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 14, 2025, 6:59 PM
Common uses for the Series 26 external gear pump include tractors and harvesters, along with machine tools, lift trucks, compactors, sweepers, rotary and reel mowers, fan drive systems, steering circuits, and auxiliary work circuits.
