Designed for a wide range of mobile and industrial hydraulic applications, the Danfoss / Eaton Cessna 26 Series Gear Pump is a fixed displacement external gear pump suited for use in tractors, harvesters, machine tools, lift trucks, compactors, sweepers, rotary mowers, steering circuits, and fan drive systems.
Key design characteristics include reduced noise and vibration, along with improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency. The pump also supports field-reversible rotation direction, providing installation flexibility without requiring additional components. A minimum working temperature rating of -20° makes it suitable for cold-weather service environments.
Manufactured under the Eaton Char-Lynn brand, now part of Danfoss Power Solutions, this pump is a dependable choice for auxiliary work circuits and other demanding hydraulic drive applications.

pump says field reversible, does that mean i can swap rotation without pulling the whole thing apart?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 26, 2025, 6:12 AM
that's one of the handy features on the 26 Series. You can reverse the pump's rotation direction in the field, which saves a fair amount of time compared to swapping out the unit entirely. It's built to allow that change without a full teardown, making it a practical option when you're working with circuits that need flexibility or when you're retrofitting a machine that runs the opposite rotation from what you originally planned.
