pump says field reversible direction -- what does that actually mean when I'm going to mount it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 20, 2025, 9:35 AM
Basically, you can flip the rotation direction without swapping out the pump itself. A lot of gear pumps are set from the factory for one direction only, so if your drive shaft spins opposite to what a standard pump expects, you'd normally be stuck. With this one, you can configure it in the field to match whichever way your shaft turns. That saves a fair amount of hassle when you're fitting it into a machine that runs clockwise or counterclockwise off the PTO or gearbox.
