pump says it's field reversible, how hard is that to actually do, or is it something you need special tools for?

Reversing the rotation on this pump is meant to be done in the field without a lot of fuss. The Series 26 design allows direction to be changed without specialized equipment, which is a real advantage when you're swapping it into a circuit that runs opposite from what the original pump was set up for.
