Danfoss / Eaton-GR Pump (BQR-DIST)

Description & Features

Designed for demanding mobile and industrial hydraulic applications, the Danfoss / Eaton-GR Pump (BQR-DIST) is a fixed displacement external gear pump built for reliable performance across a wide range of equipment types. Suitable for use in tractors and harvesters, lift trucks, fan drive systems, compactors, sweepers, rotary and reel mowers, machine tools, and steering circuits, this pump covers a broad spectrum of auxiliary work circuit requirements.

Key design characteristics include reduced noise and vibration, along with improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency. The pump supports field-reversible direction, offering added flexibility during installation or reconfiguration. A minimum working temperature rating of -20° makes it appropriate for cold-weather service environments. The Char-Lynn sub-brand association reflects the product's lineage within the Danfoss / Eaton family of hydraulic components.

Question by: Jerry Y on Nov 19, 2025, 1:17 PM
pump says it's field reversible, what does that actually mean for someone swapping it onto a piece of equipment that was running the opposite rotation?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 21, 2025, 8:07 AM
Field reversibility means you can change the pump's rotation direction without sending it back for modification or ordering a different unit. On a lot of older equipment or machines that got repurposed, the drive shaft spins the opposite direction from what a standard pump expects. Being able to flip the rotation in the field saves a real headache during installation or when you're retrofitting something that wasn't originally set up for this pump. Just make sure your port configuration and inlet/outlet lines match up after the change.

Will this gear pump work on my tractor, I'm using it for the hydraulics?

This Danfoss / Eaton-GR pump is definitely suitable for tractors and harvesters, especially for auxiliary work circuits. It's also good for steering.
