Question by: Glen B on Jun 21, 2025, 11:26 AM
Can this pump handle cold weather without issues? I'm thinking of using it on some equipment that sits outside year-round.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 22, 2025, 8:01 PM
This Danfoss/Eaton gear pump is rated for a minimum working temperature of -20 degrees Celsius, so it should perform well in cold outdoor conditions.
Question by: Earl B on Jun 5, 2025, 4:54 PM
runs quiet compared to most gear pumps i've used, but how cold can this thing actually operate before it starts giving trouble?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 7, 2025, 7:46 AM
Rated down to -20 degrees Celsius for minimum working temperature, so cold morning startups on seasonal equipment shouldn't be a problem in most North American climates. That lower threshold covers the kind of deep cold you'd see in typical winter field or shop conditions without pushing into arctic territory.
