DANFOSS / EATON-SERIES 26 GEAR PUMP

Description & Features

Designed for demanding mobile and industrial hydraulic applications, the Danfoss / Eaton Series 26 Gear Pump delivers reliable fixed-displacement performance across a wide range of equipment types. Typical applications include tractors and harvesters, lift trucks, compactors, sweepers, rotary and reel mowers, steering circuits, fan drive systems, and auxiliary work circuits.

The pump features reduced noise and vibration alongside improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency. Field-reversible pump direction adds installation flexibility, while the externally adjustable Rv5 series relief valve allows on-site pressure setting without disassembly. A minimum working temperature rating of -20° supports cold-climate use across seasonal equipment.

Classified as a hydraulic fixed-displacement external gear pump and distributed under the Char-Lynn brand, this unit is a practical fit for machine tools and mobile equipment circuits requiring consistent, dependable flow.

Question by: Ray H on Jun 5, 2025, 11:57 AM
Will this gear pump work okay in cold weather, like down below freezing?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 7, 2025, 6:28 AM
The minimum working temperature for this Danfoss / Eaton Series 26 gear pump is -20 degrees, so it's built to handle cold-climate applications.
Question by: Glen W on May 9, 2025, 10:29 AM
pump says it's field reversible - does that mean I can swap the rotation direction right on the job without pulling it apart or sending it somewhere?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 10, 2025, 5:02 PM
rotation direction can be changed in the field without disassembly. That's one of the practical advantages of this series, especially when you're dealing with different machine configurations or retrofitting into a circuit that runs opposite to what you originally planned. Saves a real headache when you're trying to get equipment back up and running without a long turnaround.
