pump says it's field-reversible -- what does that actually mean for somebody setting it up on a different piece of equipment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 18, 2026, 6:09 AM
Rotation direction on gear pumps matters a lot because the internal geometry is built around flow going one way. Field-reversible means you can swap the direction this unit runs without sending it back to a shop or ordering a separate model. If your system drives the pump clockwise on one machine and counter-clockwise on another, you can reconfigure it on-site to match. That kind of flexibility saves time when you're fitting the same pump across different equipment in your fleet.
