The Eaton Char-Lynn GR PUMP (LOADSENSE) is designed for demanding hydraulic applications, including tractors and harvesters, machine tools, and steering circuits. It is also suitable for compactors, sweepers, rotary and reel mowers, lift trucks, and fan drive systems.

This pump offers reduced noise and vibration, along with improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency. It also features field reversible pump direction and is designed to perform in temperatures as low as -20 degrees.

pump says it's field reversible -- does that mean i can swap the rotation direction without pulling it apart or sending it back out?

Field reversible means you can change the rotation direction on-site without returning the unit or doing a full teardown. For gear pumps in this series, that's a real time-saver when you're reconfiguring a circuit or swapping it into a different machine than originally planned. got a steering circuit on a tractor, would this gear pump make sense for that kind of setup?
