How noisy is this pump when it's running?

Reduced noise and vibration are key features of this Danfoss / Eaton gear pump, making it well-suited for applications where noise levels are a concern.

Got an older tractor that's been running a different gear pump for years. Trying to figure out if this Series 26 is built to handle the kind of continuous load you'd see in a fan drive setup or if it's more of a light-duty auxiliary piece.
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 10, 2025, 7:43 AM
Fan drive systems are actually one of the listed applications for this pump, so it's not just a light-duty auxiliary unit. The external gear design with improved volumetric and mechanical efficiency means it holds up under sustained load conditions rather than just occasional use. The extruded body construction adds to that durability, which is part of why it shows up in working environments like compactors and sweepers alongside tractors and harvesters.
