got a bulkhead pass-through, is this one the #4 male JIC on both sides deal or am i mixing things up

Both ends are male JIC SAE 37 degree flare threads, size 7/16-20, built to SAE J514. It is a straight bulkhead fitting meant to pass through a panel or bracket with the same #4 JIC flare connection on each side.

does this fitting come with the nut or do i need to source that separate

No nut is included with this one. The bulkhead straight is sold without it, so you'll need to make sure you've already got a compatible nut on hand before you go to install it. Worth double-checking your existing hardware before ordering if fitment is tight.
