Question by: Bonnie H on Aug 16, 2025, 6:06 PM
Does this fitting have a NPTF thread on one end and a JIC flare on the other, or are both ends the same?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 18, 2025, 9:22 AM
One end is a 1/4-18 Male NPTF thread built to SAE J476, and the other is a 7/16-20 Male JIC SAE 37 Degree Flare conforming to SAE J514. So yeah, the two ends are different thread types, which is kind of the whole point of a fitting like this when you're bridging a pipe-thread port to a JIC flare line.

got a panel pass-thru deal. is this the bulkhead fitting that’s NPTF on one side and a 37 degree JIC on the other?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 11, 2025, 11:41 AM
For a bulkhead straight connection, it gives you a male NPTF end (1/4-18, SAE J476) on one side and a male JIC 37 degree flare end (7/16-20, SAE J514) on the other.
