Product Questions & Answers (1)
Question by: Dwayne D on Dec 4, 2025, 12:00 PM
what chemicals is this hose actually impervious to? asking cause we run a pretty aggressive mix through our lines and cant afford a breakdown
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 5, 2025, 7:11 PM
PTFE and Teflon construction handles virtually all chemical applications without degrading. That covers an extremely wide range of aggressive fluids, acids, and solvents that would eat through standard rubber hose. The Teflon tube material itself is what gives it that resistance, and the stainless steel braid reinforcement holds up on the outside. One thing worth knowing upfront: steam service combined with cold water cycling is not recommended for this hose, so if your process swings between steam and cold water in the same line, this would not be the right fit.
