(SPRB-12-8) REDUCER BUSHINGS 3/4X1

Description & Features

Manufactured by Midland Industries, this 3/4" x 1" reducer bushing is designed to connect two different thread sizes within a hydraulic or industrial fluid system, allowing a larger-threaded port or fitting to accept a smaller-threaded component. The SPRB-12-8 designation identifies this as a standard reducer bushing in the SPRB series, with the 12-8 sizing indicating the thread transition it bridges.

Reducer bushings of this type are commonly used in hydraulic manifolds, valve bodies, and industrial equipment where port size adaptation is required without additional fittings or adapters. Midland Industries is a well-established manufacturer of fluid control components, and this bushing reflects their standard product line for industrial fluid handling applications.

Will this reducer bushing work with standard hydraulic fittings?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 3, 2025, 6:28 AM
This reducer bushing is designed for use in hydraulic or industrial fluid systems, connecting different thread sizes.

what exactly does a reducer bushing like this do in a hydraulic setup? trying to wrap my head around whether it replaces a whole fitting or just adapts the port size
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 24, 2025, 8:02 PM
Port size mismatches come up constantly in hydraulic work, and this bushing handles that without stacking extra fittings on top of each other. The SPRB-12-8 threads into a larger port and gives you a smaller opening on the other end, so a 1-inch threaded port can accept a 3/4-inch component directly. Manifolds and valve bodies are probably the most common places you'd drop one of these in, though any industrial fluid system with mismatched thread sizes is fair game.

got a 1 inch port but the part i need to screw in is 3/4. is this the right bushing for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 21, 2026, 6:44 AM
For stepping a larger threaded port down to a smaller threaded component, this reducer bushing is the right type of part. It is a 1 inch to 3/4 inch reducer bushing, made to let a larger threaded opening accept a smaller threaded fitting or component.
