1/8 MIPXFIP BS 45 STR ELBOW

Description & Features

Manufactured by Midland Industries, this 1/8 MIPXFIP BS 45 STR Elbow is a brass street elbow designed to redirect flow at a 45-degree angle within a compressed air, fluid, or gas line. The male iron pipe (MIP) inlet threads directly into a female iron pipe (FIP) fitting or port, eliminating the need for a separate coupling and helping reduce connection count in tight installations.

The 1/8-inch thread size suits smaller-diameter lines where space is limited. Brass construction offers reliable corrosion resistance and is well-suited for use with air, water, oil, and a range of compatible industrial fluids. The street configuration, with one male and one female threaded end, makes this a practical choice when routing changes are needed close to a valve, manifold, or equipment port.

So this elbow fitting... it's solid brass, right? I need somethin' that can hold up.
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 7, 2026, 6:31 PM
Yes, the elbow is made from brass. Brass provides good corrosion resistance, especially when used with common fluids like air, water, and oil.
Question by: Troy S on Jun 18, 2025, 3:26 PM
Got a valve port that's already got female threads on it, can I screw this elbow straight in without needing an extra coupling or adapter between them?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 20, 2025, 6:21 AM
A street elbow is built exactly for that situation. The male end threads directly into your female port, and the female end on the other side accepts whatever fitting or line comes next. No coupling needed in between, which keeps the connection count down and helps a lot when you're working in a tight spot.
Question by: Freddie J on Apr 17, 2025, 8:28 AM
tight spot behind a valve, will this elbow let me turn the line without stacking a bunch of fittings?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 18, 2025, 8:11 PM
With one male 1/8 MIP end and one female 1/8 FIP end, the street elbow threads straight into a female port or fitting and gives you a 45 degree change in direction. That setup cuts down on extra couplings, which helps when you are short on room.
