DANFOSS / EATON SRS 5 SQ

Description & Features

Designed for small turf care and utility vehicle applications, the Danfoss / Eaton SRS 5 SQ is a compact Steering Control Unit (SCU) well-suited to lawn and garden equipment, golf course maintenance machinery, lift trucks, and compact utility tractors. Its manageable size and focused performance envelope make it a practical fit where space and application demands are modest.

The unit supports flow rates from 11 to 19 L/min (3–5 gal/min) at a maximum operating pressure of 140 bar (2,030 psi). These ratings align with the lower-demand hydraulic steering circuits typical of turf and light utility platforms, where consistent, reliable steering response matters more than high-output capacity.

What kind of machines does this steering unit usually go on?

It's made for smaller equipment like lawnmowers, garden tractors, and those smaller utility vehicles. Also works on lift trucks and golf course equipment.

got a small kubota compact tractor with a bad steering unit, does this one run in that range of machines?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 7, 2026, 6:09 AM
Compact utility tractors are one of the core applications this unit was built around. It handles flow rates between 11 and 19 L/min, which lines up with the lighter hydraulic steering demands those machines typically run. Max operating pressure sits at 140 bar, so as long as your tractor's steering circuit stays within that envelope, the SRS 5 SQ is a reasonable fit for that kind of replacement work.
