VICKERS RV1-12-S-0-8.5/

Description & Features

Rated for flows up to 50 litres per minute, the VICKERS RV1-12-S-0-8.5/ is a poppet-style pressure control valve designed for reliable performance in both mobile and industrial hydraulic systems. The RV1-12 series supports pressures up to 350 bar (5000 psi) and flow capacities up to 300 L/min (80 USgpm) across the broader valve range, making it well suited for demanding applications including harvesters and refuse haulers.

Compact construction keeps installation footprint minimal while maintaining maximum circuit flexibility. The poppet valve design contributes to consistent, economical pressure regulation without sacrificing durability in high-cycle environments. This valve is part of the Vickers line distributed under the Danfoss / Eaton brand portfolio.

Got a refuse hauler that's been giving me grief with pressure spikes. Would a poppet-style valve like this one hold up better than what I'm running now in a high-cycle situation?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 4, 2025, 6:10 AM
Poppet designs tend to handle high-cycle duty a good bit better than spool-style valves in a lot of applications, and that's exactly the kind of environment this valve was built around. Refuse haulers are actually listed as one of the target applications, so the construction accounts for the repetitive demand those systems put on pressure control components. You're getting regulation up to 350 bar (5000 psi) with flow capacity up to 300 L/min across the RV1-12 series, so headroom isn't likely to be your problem. The poppet style also contributes to more consistent pressure response cycle after cycle, which should help with those spikes you're describing.
