got a couple 5/16 hoses i need to join up, is this the right kind of fitting for that
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 29, 2025, 5:54 PM
For joining two hoses together, this Midland Industries barb splicer is made to connect 5/16 inch hose ends so you can splice them into one continuous run in a hydraulic setup.

Got a busted hose splice on a piece of equipment and need something to get it back together, this a standard barb fit for 5/16 inch hose?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 30, 2025, 12:35 PM
For 5/16-inch hose, this is the right size. Midland Industries makes this splicer to join two sections of that diameter hose, so if your hose measures out to 5/16 inch inner diameter, it should fit right onto the barbs on both ends. Push the hose ends on fully and clamp them down and you've got yourself a solid, leak-free connection.
Question by: Stan C on Jan 19, 2026, 3:07 PM
Will this splicer work with any kind of hose, or just hydraulics?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 21, 2026, 7:35 AM
It's designed for joining hoses in industrial hydraulic systems, so that's its main application.
