what kind of seals does this vane motor use, and is cast iron the actual housing material or just part of it?

Cast iron is the full construction material for this motor, and Buna-N seals are used throughout. Buna-N holds up well in standard hydraulic fluid environments, so for most industrial setups running conventional mineral-based fluids, you're in good shape right out of the box.
