Question by: Dwayne W on Jun 5, 2025, 8:02 PM
Will this brass fitting hold up if I'm using it for hydraulics?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 7, 2025, 6:42 AM
This Eaton Aeroquip adapter is suitable for hydraulic systems, as well as grease, refrigeration, and instrumentation applications. It's also rated for higher operating pressures than SAE standards require.
Question by: Denise F on Oct 26, 2025, 3:23 PM
got a couple 1/4 NPTF female ports i need to tie together, is this the right kind of union?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 28, 2025, 6:24 AM
For connecting two same-size female pipe threads, this is a straight union adapter with 1/4 inch NPTF female on both ends.
Question by: Chad H on Dec 16, 2025, 1:23 PM
both ends are NPTF female on this one, right? just wanna make sure before i order cause i've gotten burned on that before
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 17, 2025, 6:14 PM
Correct on both counts. Each end is a 1/4 inch NPTF female, making it a union style connection that joins two male NPTF fittings together. The thread form is NPTF, not NPT, so you get a pressure-tight mechanical seal without relying entirely on tape or sealant. Worth double-checking your mating fittings are male NPTF at that same 1/4 inch size and you'll be good to go.
