AEROQUIP AIRBRAKE TUBING ECLIPSE 3/8 OD RED 100

Description & Features

The Aeroquip Airbrake Tubing Eclipse 3/8 OD Red 100 is designed for demanding truck and trailer air brake systems, as well as auxiliary air systems, formed tubes, and both formed and straight air brake harness assemblies. This premium abrasion-resistant tubing is constructed with multi-braid polyester cover material and reinforced with synthetic fiber, ensuring maximum durability under harsh operating conditions. Its lightweight design enhances hose flexibility, making it an ideal choice for rigorous applications.

Engineered from high-quality proprietary blended nylon materials, this non-conductive tubing meets several critical certifications, including SAE J1131, SAE J2494-2, and SAE J844, as well as DOT FMVSS 106 compliance. With a minimum bend radius of 1.5 inches and an impulse cycle life of 125,000 cycles, it is built to withstand extreme environments with a minimum working temperature of -40°F. The vibrant red color aids in easy identification and routing during installation.

Question by: Glen G on Aug 19, 2025, 1:23 PM
What kind of applications does this tubing work for?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 21, 2025, 12:15 PM
It's made for truck and trailer air brake systems, plus auxiliary air setups. You can also use it for formed tubes and air brake harness assemblies.
Question by: Roger T on Oct 12, 2025, 9:17 AM
does this tubing hold up when it gets real cold out? asking cause we run trucks through some pretty rough winters and the last stuff we had cracked on us
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 14, 2025, 6:21 AM
Rated down to negative 40 degrees, so cold weather cracking shouldn't be the problem you ran into before. The nylon tube material and polyester cover are built to stay flexible at low temps, which is a big part of why this line gets spec'd for truck and trailer air brake systems that see hard winters.
Question by: Glen R on Nov 15, 2025, 7:11 PM
got a trailer air brake harness to build, is this the kind of tubing folks use for both straight runs and formed sections?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 17, 2025, 9:08 AM
For air brake harness assemblies, it fits that job. The 3270 Series Synflex Eclipse tubing is called out for truck and trailer air brake systems and it also lists formed tubes plus formed and straight harness assemblies as common applications.
