Danfoss / Eaton 3270 Eclipse Air Brake Tubing

Description & Features

Designed for truck and trailer air brake systems, this blue, 1/2-inch polyamide tube is built to perform reliably across a wide temperature range, down to -40°F. The Danfoss / Eaton 3270 Eclipse Air Brake Tubing features a multi-braid synthetic fiber reinforcement with a polyester cover that provides premium abrasion resistance under demanding road and fleet conditions.

Rated for 125,000 impulse cycles and compatible with push-to-connect and QCAB fittings, this tubing suits formed tube assemblies as well as straight and formed air brake harness configurations. Non-conductive construction and lightweight flexibility make it well suited for auxiliary air system routing alongside primary brake circuits. Certifications include SAE J1131, SAE J2494-2, and SAE J844, with compliance to DOT FMVSS 106.

Yes, this Synflex Eclipse tubing meets DOT FMVSS 106 standards.
Question by: Eddie B on Jul 2, 2025, 8:30 AM
got a truck with 1/2 inch air brake lines, is this the right stuff for that or am i off a size
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 4, 2025, 6:30 AM
For truck and trailer air brake systems, this tubing is a 1/2 inch size (dash -8) and it meets SAE J1131, SAE J2494-2, and SAE J844, plus DOT FMVSS 106 compliance, so it fits the common requirements for air brake tubing in those applications.
Question by: Terry H on Jan 27, 2026, 8:10 PM
does this tubing hold up when it's routed close to the frame on a trailer rig, where it's gonna flex and rub a little on every bump?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 29, 2026, 6:55 AM
Premium abrasion resistance is built into the cover on this tubing, and the polyester outer layer handles that kind of repeated contact better than standard air brake hose. The multi-braid construction with synthetic fiber reinforcement also keeps the tube from kinking when it's bent tight around frame routing. Minimum bend radius is 2 inches, so as long as you've got that clearance at the routing points, it'll stay flexible without fatiguing the wall. The polyamide tube material holds its shape under pressure and doesn't get brittle in cold weather either, rated down to negative 40 degrees.
