Been running vane motors in our scraper drive setup for years and always had noise complaints from the crew. This one supposed to be any quieter than a standard gear motor?

Quiet operation is one of the things the 35M Series is actually known for. Vane motors in general run smoother than gear motors because there are no gear mesh points generating that characteristic whine. For elevator scraper drives and similar continuous-duty applications, that difference in noise level can be noticeable over a long shift.
