DANFOSS / EATON BRASS 3/8 X 1/8 REDUCING

Description & Features

Brass construction and dual NPTF male ends make this 3/8 in. to 1/8 in. reducing hex nipple well suited for connecting lines of differing thread sizes across grease, refrigeration, instrumentation, and hydraulic systems. Fuel, LP, and natural gas compatibility is available on special order. The Danfoss / Eaton Brass 3/8 x 1/8 Reducing adapter meets SAE 130137, ASME, and ASA certifications, with rated operating pressures exceeding standard SAE requirements.

Manufactured by Eaton Aeroquip, this fitting features Dura-Kote plating for corrosion resistance and is rated for service down to -65°F. The NPTF thread form provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal without the need for additional sealants in many applications. With hundreds of available styles in the Aeroquip adapter line, sourcing compatible fittings across a system configuration is straightforward.

Question by: Glen H on Mar 25, 2025, 1:43 PM
Hey, will this fitting hold up okay in a greasy environment, like around machinery?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 27, 2025, 6:29 AM
Designed to withstand exposure to grease, refrigeration fluids, instrumentation materials, and hydraulic systems, this fitting should be suitable for use around machinery. Fuel, LP, and natural gas applications are also possible by special order.
Question by: Ronnie O on Jul 18, 2025, 8:14 PM
both ends on this are male NPTF threads, right? trying to step down from a 3/8 line to a 1/8 port and just want to make sure I ain't got the gender backwards before I order.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 20, 2025, 6:33 AM
Correct on both counts. The larger end is 3/8 NPTF male and the smaller end is 1/8 NPTF male, so you are threading one end into a female 3/8 port and the other into a female 1/8 port. Standard reducing hex nipple configuration, brass body with Dura-Kote plating for corrosion resistance. Should drop right into what you are describing.
