got an air brake hose setup with a -8 hose, is this the right hose end or am i barkin up the wrong tree
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 11, 2025, 6:11 AM
For air brake hose lines, this hose end matches a -8 hose dash size and uses a female UNEF end with a 0.75 inch end size, so it lines up with that basic fitment.
Question by: Brenda M on Nov 18, 2025, 5:13 PM
Will this fitting work with standard air brake lines or is it specific?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 20, 2025, 9:34 AM
This hose end is specialized for air brake hose lines.
Question by: Ray H on Jan 28, 2026, 6:38 PM
fitting's made of brass and got that Dura-Kote plating on it, so how well's it hold up in environments where corrosion's a real concern?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 30, 2026, 11:40 AM
Brass construction already handles corrosion better than a lot of metals, but the Dura-Kote plating on top of that is what really sets this one apart. That coating is specifically there to push corrosion resistance further and extend the life of the hose assembly well beyond what you'd get from an uncoated fitting. For air brake line applications where moisture and road grime are facts of life, that combination does meaningful work over the long haul.
