Cast iron body on this one, does that hold up alright in a metal cutting environment where there's coolant and debris floating around?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 27, 2025, 9:33 AM
Cast iron is actually a solid choice for that kind of environment. It handles the mechanical stress and vibration that come with metal cutting equipment better than lighter alloys, and the Viton seals give you good resistance to the fluid exposure you'd expect in that setting. The pressure-balanced design also helps the internals wear more evenly over time, which matters when the pump is running hard on a regular basis.
