pump says LH in the name, does that mean it only runs one direction, or can it be flipped around depending on how you got it mounted up?

Left-hand rotation is what that designation locks you into. The V10 1P5S 1A20 LH is built for a specific shaft rotation direction, and that's not something you can reverse by remounting it. Before dropping this in, make sure your drive setup runs the right direction or you'll get no flow and likely damage the pump.
