3CA300 Series Cartridge Check Valve, 4.4 PSI Cracking Pressure, Nitrile Seals

Description & Features

Engineered for high-performance hydraulic applications, the 3CA300 Series Cartridge Check Valve is designed to ensure efficient fluid flow in one direction with a cracking pressure of 4.4 PSI. This check valve features nitrile seals, making it ideal for mobile and industrial uses such as in harvesters and refuse haulers. Its robust construction supports a maximum operating pressure of 5000 PSI and a flow rating of 80 GPM, ensuring reliability under demanding conditions.

The valve's screw-in cartridge design, along with its direct-acting operation, optimizes installation ease and operational efficiency. With a recommended filtration level of 18/16/13 and minimal leakage of 0.2 cc/min, it maintains system cleanliness and performance. The valve is compatible with cavity size A13245, which is sold separately, and has low spring settings for enhanced performance. This product is part of the Eaton Char-Lynn brand and is cataloged under number C1MG47.

Question by: Lee G on Jun 26, 2025, 6:31 PM
got a harvester that needs a check valve, what’s this 3CA300 actually do in the circuit?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 27, 2025, 7:30 PM
In plain terms, it lets hydraulic oil flow freely one way and checks it in the opposite direction. It is a direct acting, ball style screw in cartridge check valve that’s commonly used in mobile and industrial hydraulic setups like harvesters and refuse haulers.
Question by: Rick S on Aug 12, 2025, 9:29 PM
I’m needing a check valve for a hydraulic system that runs pretty hot. Will this one hold up?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 14, 2025, 6:01 AM
With a temperature range of –22° to 194°F, this cartridge check valve should be suitable for hydraulic systems with moderate heat. Just make sure your system stays within that range for optimal performance.
Question by: Todd D on Feb 23, 2026, 12:41 PM
cracking pressure on this one is listed at 4.4 PSI -- that low enough for most mobile hydraulic setups like refuse trucks or harvesters?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 25, 2026, 8:13 AM
For mobile equipment like refuse haulers and harvesters, 4.4 PSI cracking pressure is on the low end, which is generally a good thing. Lower cracking pressure means the valve opens with minimal upstream force required, so flow gets moving without fighting the spring. That said, low spring settings like this are intentional on this series and work well in applications where backpressure needs to stay minimal. Just make sure your system filtration is at cleanliness level 18/16/13 or better, because a valve this precise does not tolerate dirty fluid well.
