3PE Series Aluminum Gear Pump, 2.86 cu in/rev, 2-Bolt SAE B Mounting Flange, 1 St. Keyed x 1.81 long SAE BB Shaft, SAE-20 Side Inlet, SAE-16 Side Outlet, CW Rotation

Description & Features

Designed for mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, the Salami 3PE Series Aluminum Gear Pump (model 3PE46D-R88S3) delivers a displacement of 2.86 cu in/rev with a rated flow of 22 GPM at 2475 RPM. The pump is rated for continuous working pressure up to 3625 PSI, with peak capability reaching 4300 PSI.

Mounting follows the 2-Bolt SAE B standard, and the drive end features a 1" straight keyed SAE BB shaft, 1.81" in length. Port configuration includes an SAE-20 side inlet and SAE-16 side outlet. Rotation is clockwise as supplied; it can be reversed by repositioning the drive and driven shafts and rotating the front flange.

Axial compensation is achieved through floating bushings, supporting consistent volumetric efficiency across the working pressure range. DU bearings contribute to high-pressure capability. Standard Buna-N seals support a temperature range of -4°F to 185°F; optional Viton seals extend the upper limit to 230°F. The pump is configurable as part of a multiple-unit assembly and is available with a range of shaft, flange, and port options to suit various standards.

Question by: Cody P on Aug 7, 2025, 2:38 PM
I need a pump that can handle some pressure. What's the pressure rating on this Salami pump?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 9, 2025, 11:20 AM
This gear pump can handle continuous working pressures that vary based on displacement, but it can handle peak pressures up to 4300 PSI.
Question by: Norm H on Jul 20, 2025, 11:14 AM
got a pump that has to spin clockwise, is this one already set up that way?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 22, 2025, 9:11 AM
From the factory these pumps are stocked with clockwise rotation, and this model is listed as CW rotation.
Question by: Tammy F on Mar 1, 2026, 5:30 PM
runs clockwise out of the box, right? trying to avoid tearing it back down after install if i got the rotation wrong
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 2, 2026, 7:06 PM
Clockwise is correct as shipped. If you ever need to switch to counterclockwise, it's doable by reversing the drive and driven shaft positions and rotating the front flange. No new parts required, just a disassembly and reassembly. But straight out of the box, CW is what you get.
