The Synflex by Danfoss / Eaton 3R30 Series Thermoplastic Hydraulic Hoses are designed for low pressure hydraulics high pressure pneumatic systems lubrication systems and cooling mist systems. This thermoplastic hydraulic hose is constructed with a multi braid design and features a perforated polyurethane cover for premium abrasion resistance.

The hose is highly resistant to the absorption of most oils and fluids making it suitable for various industrial applications such as hospital beds air power tools and pressure wash hoses.

The reinforcement material is made from synthetic fiber which contributes to the hose being 2X lighter than equivalent wire braided rubber hoses. The internal tube material is nylon lined ensuring durability and reliability under demanding conditions.

It has a minimum bend radius of 1.25 and can operate at temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius. The hose meets SAE 100R3 certifications and its dimensions include a product width of 0.49 inches.

Reckon this hose would be alright for runnin' coolant mist in my shop?

This Synflex hose is definitely suitable for cooling mist systems, plus it’s made to resist a lot of different oils and fluids you might have around.

hose says it's 2x lighter than wire braided rubber, is that actually noticeable when you're running it through tight spots on equipment or is it just a spec on paper?

For routing through confined areas or overhead runs, the weight difference is real and pretty easy to feel. Synthetic fiber reinforcement is what keeps the bulk down, and on a 250-foot spool that adds up fast compared to wire braid. Tight bends are also more manageable since the minimum bend radius on this one is 1.25 inches, which gives you flexibility in cramped installations without kinking.
