Question by: Connie B on Mar 6, 2026, 8:31 PM
What kind of stuff is this hose good for? Just curious if it'll hold up to what I'm doing.
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 8, 2026, 8:12 AM
Application-wise, this Synflex hose is designed for general hydraulic systems, material handling, chemical transfer, and even marine steering. So it's pretty versatile.
Question by: Freddie B on Jun 15, 2025, 2:41 PM
got a tight spot to route hose, what’s the smallest bend i can get away with on this 100R7?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 16, 2025, 6:45 PM
For routing, the minimum bend radius on this Synflex 3TR7 (-5) hose is 1.5 inches. Staying at or above that radius helps keep the nylon tube from kinking when you snake it through a cramped area.
Question by: Warren P on Nov 8, 2025, 8:32 AM
hose says it's rated down to -40 degrees -- does that mean it'll hold up okay in a freeze/thaw situation where temps swing around a good bit through the season?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 10, 2025, 6:30 AM
Cold flexibility down to -40 is built into the nylon tube and polyurethane cover on this hose, so repeated freeze/thaw cycling is well within the range it was built to handle. The thermoplastic construction doesn't stiffen and crack the way rubber hoses tend to in those conditions. That said, the -40 figure is the minimum working temperature floor, not just a storage spec, so you've got real operating margin there for seasonal swings.
