DANFOSS / EATON - Hose Thermo R8 Nonconductive

Description & Features

Designed for general hydraulics, material handling, and chemical transfer applications, the Danfoss / Eaton Hose Thermo R8 Nonconductive is a -16 dash size thermoplastic hose built around a nylon tube, synthetic fiber multi-braid reinforcement, and a polyurethane cover. The orange cover carries standard abrasion resistance and resists absorption of most oils and fluids, helping maintain hose integrity in fluid transfer environments where contact with hydraulic media is routine.

At approximately half the weight of equivalent wire-braided rubber hoses, this thermoplastic construction is well suited for mobile and overhead installations where reducing system weight is a practical concern. A minimum bend radius of 7.75 inches and a rated low-temperature threshold of -40°F support flexible routing in tight assemblies and cold-weather service. Lay line markings are applied via ink transfer. The nonconductive synthetic fiber reinforcement makes this hose appropriate for use in electrically sensitive environments.

Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Billy B on Nov 4, 2025, 1:42 PM
Can I use this with different types of hydraulic fluids, or is it specific to certain ones?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 5, 2025, 2:06 PM
The polyurethane cover resists absorption of most oils and fluids, so it should hold up well across different hydraulic media.
