40 Series Gear Motor, 1.00 cu in/rev, 2-Bolt SAE A Mounting Flange, 5/8 St.Keyed x 1.25 Long Shaft, SAE-12 Side Ports, Bi-Rotational

Description & Features

The 40 Series Gear Motor delivers reliable performance with a displacement of 1.00 cu in/rev and a 2-Bolt SAE A mounting flange. Fitted with a 5/8" Shaft keyed and extended to 1.25", this unit ensures compatibility with various industrial setups.

Engineered by Cross Manufacturing, it operates bi-rotationally with internal check valves to manage case pressure efficiently. It accommodates a speed rating of up to 3000 RPM, making it a robust solution for high-demand tasks. The 40 Series Gear Motor features SAE-12 side ports, facilitating versatile connectivity options.

Constructed with a die-cast aluminum alloy body and end covers, this model prioritizes durability and efficiency. Its sintered metal gears and hardened steel shaft assure extended service life. Pressure lubricated, Teflonreg; impregnated sleeve bearings and Buna-N seals contribute to its consistent performance.

The motor is rated for an inlet pressure of up to 3000 PSI and can handle a maximum shock pressure of 3500 PSI. For outlet pressures exceeding 250 PSI, a case drain line is recommended. With improved gear tooth design and pressure-balanced loading plates, it achieves a high volumetric and overall efficiency while maintaining low noise levels.

got a CROSS 360009 motor im trying to swap out. Is this 40MH10DACSC the same deal, bi-directional and all?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 3, 2025, 7:41 AM
Match-up wise, this unit is the CROSS Manufacturing bi-rotational 40 Series gear motor with supplier part number 360009. It is a 1.00 cu in per rev motor with a 2-bolt SAE A mounting flange, 5/8 straight keyed shaft that is 1.25 inches long, and SAE-12 side ports.
Question by: Dwayne H on Jan 6, 2026, 7:50 PM
outlet pressure on mine's been running a little high lately on a similar setup. does this motor need a case drain line put in if i'm pushing past 250 PSI on the outlet side?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 8, 2026, 10:04 AM
Anything over 250 PSI on the outlet side and yes, a case drain line needs to be in place. That's a firm requirement for this motor, not just a suggestion. Running above that threshold without one risks damage to the internal seals and bearings over time. The motor is rated up to 3000 PSI on the inlet with a max shock pressure of 3500 PSI, but that outlet drain requirement is a separate condition that applies regardless of how the rest of your system is spec'd.
