4000 Series Geroler Motor, 9.90 cu in/rev, 4 Bolt SAE B Mounting Flange, 1-1/4 in. Straight Keyed Shaft, 1-1/16-12 St.Thd. O-Ring Ports,

Description & Features

The Danfoss / Eaton Char-Lynn 4000 Series Disc Geroler Standard motor features a displacement of 9.90 cubic inches per revolution ideal for applications such as mowing snow removal sprayers trenchers and wood products. Engineered with a 4 Bolt SAE B mounting flange and a 1-1/4 inch straight keyed shaft this motor ensures a secure fit and robust performance.

Providing one of the lowest pressure drops in the industry this highly-efficient geroler motor helps achieve significant energy savings. It utilizes 1-1/16-12 Standard Thread O-Ring Staggered Ports designed for optimal fluid dynamics.

The torque rating stands at 485 newton meters supporting demanding industrial applications. For best motor life it is recommended to run the motor at 30% of the rated pressure for approximately one hour before application to full load.

Ideal for fluids with a minimum viscosity of 70 SUS at operating temperature the motor operates within a recommended range of 100-200 SUS. Ensure continuous operation under high pressure by using an external case drain line if the motor is exposed to continuous back pressure exceeding 1500 PSI.

Question by: Melvin S on May 14, 2025, 12:31 PM
got a motor mount that takes a 4 bolt SAE B flange, is that what this one’s set up for?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 16, 2025, 10:46 AM
You’re looking at a 4 Bolt SAE B mounting flange with a 1-1/4 inch straight keyed shaft, so it matches that common SAE B 4-bolt pattern and keyed shaft style.
Question by: Lee M on Sep 8, 2025, 9:19 AM
How should I get this motor ready to go before putting it to work full time?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 9, 2025, 11:07 AM
For the best lifespan, ease this motor into its job. Run it for about an hour at roughly 30% of its rated pressure before going to full load. Also, make sure it's full of fluid before you start.
Question by: Norm F on Apr 13, 2025, 11:22 AM
motor's been sitting a while before I can put it to work, anything special I gotta do before running it under full load?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 15, 2025, 10:59 AM
Before putting it under full load, run it for roughly an hour at about 30% of rated pressure. Make sure the motor is filled with fluid before any load gets applied. That break-in period helps seat everything properly and goes a long way toward getting the most life out of it.
