coil says it's internally rectified, does that mean I don't need a separate rectifier wired in when I hook it up?

Correct. Internal rectification means the AC-to-DC conversion is built right into the coil itself, so there's no external rectifier needed in the circuit. You can wire it straight from an AC power source and it handles the rest on its own. Makes installation a good bit simpler, especially on mobile equipment where you're trying to keep the wiring clean.
