Designed for demanding mobile and industrial environments, the Vickers S521HN is a 3-way, 2-position solenoid valve built to handle pressures up to 350 bar (5,000 psi) and flow rates up to 227 L/min (60 USgpm). Hardened and ground steel construction supports reliable performance across high-cycle applications where durability and compactness are priorities.
Suited for use in harvesters, refuse haulers, and a broad range of mobile and stationary hydraulic systems, this valve is part of the Vickers S221 Series, a line recognized for economical, space-efficient directional control. With a rated flow of 20 litres per minute at the product level, it fits applications where precise flow control in a compact envelope is required.

We run a refuse hauler fleet and been looking at solenoid valves that can hold up to the pressure our systems put out. This one rated for 5,000 psi across the board or is that just a peak number?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 4, 2025, 6:33 AM
350 bar, which works out to 5,000 psi, is the rated operating pressure for the S521HN. That figure applies to the valve's design spec, not just a momentary burst rating. Built from hardened and ground steel, it's put together to hold up under the kind of consistent pressure cycles you'd see in refuse hauler applications specifically. The 3-way 2-position configuration keeps things straightforward for directional control without a lot of extra complexity in the circuit.
