VICKERS S221-N-A3P

Description & Features

Designed for demanding mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits, the Vickers S221-N-A3P is a 3-way, 2-position solenoid valve built to handle pressures up to 350 bar (5,000 psi) and flow rates up to 227 L/min (60 USgpm). The S221 series is known for its compact footprint and economical construction, making it well-suited for space-constrained installations in harvesters, refuse haulers, and a broad range of mobile equipment.

Built from hardened and ground steel, these valves offer the durability expected in continuous-duty industrial environments. With a rated flow of 20 litres per minute, the valve delivers consistent directional control in both mobile and stationary hydraulic systems. The S221-N-A3P is part of Vickers' SICV solenoid valve lineup, a product line now supported under the Danfoss and Eaton umbrella.

Question by: Tammy G on Jan 6, 2026, 4:34 PM
Running a refuse hauler and need a 3-way 2-position solenoid valve that ain't gonna give out after a few months of hard use, this the right kind of build for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 8, 2026, 12:21 PM
Hardened and ground steel construction puts this valve in solid shape for exactly that kind of continuous-duty work. Refuse haulers are actually listed as one of the target applications for the S221 series, so it's not a stretch to say it was built with that environment in mind. The compact footprint also helps when you're working around tight mounting spaces on mobile equipment.
