Designed for demanding mobile equipment, the Eaton 420 Series delivers a displacement of 3.80 cu in/rev with a maximum operating pressure of 4,060 psi and a rated flow of 29.6 GPM. The pressure compensated load sense control supports efficient power management across variable load conditions.

The 420 Mobile Piston Pump mounts via a 2-Bolt SAE BB flange and uses a 15T splined shaft, making it compatible with a broad range of mobile platform drivelines. A saddle-type swashplate with steel-backed polymer bearings and a single control piston keeps the package compact while reducing forces on the swashplate. The bimetal timing plate aids pump filling and helps minimize fluid-borne noise during operation.

Typical applications include loader backhoes, agricultural tractors, crawler dozers, mini excavators, concrete and asphalt pavers, dump truck lifts, and container handling equipment. Recommended fluid cleanliness is ISO 4406 Level 21/18/13 or cleaner, with a fluid viscosity operating range of 80 to 188 SSU. Minimum operating speed is 600 RPM, with a maximum standby of 3,600 RPM.
