Question by: Lance H on Dec 10, 2025, 8:53 PM
Cast iron body on this thing, how's that hold up in a high-pressure setup compared to aluminum housings you see on some of the cheaper pumps?
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 12, 2025, 7:35 PM
Cast iron handles sustained high-pressure conditions a good bit better than aluminum in most industrial setups. It resists deformation under load and tends to hold up longer where pressure spikes are common. For something running in power steering or small press applications where you're asking a lot from the pump consistently, cast iron is the right call. The tradeoff is weight, but on a fixed industrial unit that rarely matters.
