Product Questions & Answers (2)

Question by: Tony C on Sep 29, 2025, 2:21 PM
what kind of seal material does this pump use, and is it gonna hold up running hydraulic fluid day in and day out?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 1, 2025, 6:24 AM
Buna-N seals are standard on this pump, and they're a solid choice for general hydraulic fluid service. Buna-N holds up well against petroleum-based fluids under continuous working conditions, which is exactly what this pump is built around. Combined with a cast iron housing, the whole assembly is put together to handle regular industrial use without breaking down early.
Question by: Brenda B on May 3, 2025, 10:50 AM
Would this work okay in a power steering setup, like in an older truck?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 5, 2025, 10:39 AM
This Vickers vane pump is indeed suitable for power steering applications, along with industrial small units and small presses.
