Got a 420 Series unit on a loader backhoe that's been giving us fits with slow response. Would the PVE control on this pump make a noticeable difference compared to a standard mechanical setup?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 11, 2025, 6:19 AM
Proportional valve electrohydraulic control runs a different race than mechanical control altogether. The PVE system on this pump is built specifically for fast response and recovery times, which means the hydraulic circuit reacts quicker when demand changes. On a loader backhoe that's already struggling with lag, swapping to a PVE-controlled pump like this one can tighten up that response considerably. It's one of the core reasons this unit gets spec'd into demanding mobile applications in the first place.
