got a loader backhoe that's been chewing through pumps and I'm trying to figure out if this one's actually built for that kind of work or if it's more of a light-duty unit
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 12, 2026, 10:57 AM
Loader backhoes are one of the listed applications for this pump, so it's not a stretch to run it there. The 420 series is rated for high pressure and high flow capacity, which is what that kind of equipment demands. It's an open circuit piston pump, and that design holds up well in machines that cycle hard and often. If your current pumps have been failing under that load, this is the category of pump you'd want to be looking at.
